Website blocked: the Account Suspended page

Why your website shows an Account Suspended page, how to lift the suspension of your hosting by paying, how long it takes and what to do if the site still does not open after payment.

Contents

The Account Suspended page is shown by the hosting server when an account has been suspended. While the suspension is in place, the website and cPanel login do not work. Your website files, databases and mailboxes are kept, and once the suspension is lifted everything carries on as before.

Why your hosting is suspended

  • Renewal not paid. The paid period has ended and the renewal has not been paid. This is the most common reason.
  • Trial period ended and the plan has not been paid for. The data of a trial account is kept for 14 days, after which the account is deleted.
  • Other reasons — for example, the site is sending spam or malicious code has been found on it: see Hacked website: what to do. If your payments are up to date, contact our support team through the contact form and we will tell you the reason and what needs to be done.

How to lift the suspension

Pay for your hosting — the suspension is lifted automatically, and you do not need to contact support.

Payments by card or other online methods are credited within minutes, and the site opens a few minutes later. A bank transfer takes one or two working days — the suspension is lifted once the funds have arrived.

Payment made, but the site does not open

  • Refresh the page without the cache — Ctrl+F5, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac — or open the site in a private window: your browser may have cached the suspension page.
  • Check that your payment has been credited, and that the Log in to cPanel option is available for the hosting again.
  • If the payment was credited more than 15 minutes ago and the site still shows Account Suspended, contact our support team through the contact form.
  • If a different error is shown instead of the suspension page, the cause lies in the website itself: Error 500 on a website, Error 403 Forbidden.
Tip To keep your hosting from being suspended, pay for renewals in good time and make sure the contact email addresses on your account are working, so that you receive our reminders.
